Abstract
Two different approaches to the construction of higher-order schemes for the stationary compressible Euler equations are presented. The former is a generalization of first order Finite Volume Method (FVM) based on a higher-order polynomial reconstruction. The latter one is the so-called Residual Distribution Method (RDM) which is basically second order, but some generalizations to higher-order are already known. We made a comparative study and present the numerical results for the Ringleb flow problem.
