Abstract
The finite volume scheme of Vijayasundaram and Osher-Solomon type for shallow water equations are proposed. The numerical results with discontinuous initial condition and the comparison with Lax-Friedrichs numerical flux are presented for homogeneous case. The extension of the method for the inhomogeneous case is described.
