Abstract
In the present paper we are concerned with interaction of viscous compressible flow and a vibrating transonic turbine cascade. We describe the Navier-Stokes equations. This system is discretized by the semi-implicit discontinuous Galerkin finite element method (DGFEM) and coupled with the solution of ordinary differential equations describing the motion of the blade section. To study the flow in the time-dependent domains the Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian (ALE) method is used. Computational results showing the flow induced vibrations are presented.
