Abstract

The subject of the paper is the numerical simulation of the interaction of incompressible flow with of an airfoil with a flap with large amplitudes. The flow is described by the Navier-Stokes equations and the airfoil vibrations are governed by a system of 3 ordinary differential equations. The problem is solved by the ALE finite element method.
