On a Numerical Flux for the Shallow Water Equations

Abstract
The finite volume schemes of Vijayasundaram and Osher-Solomon type are proposed. The numerical results with discontinuous initial condition and the comparison with Lax-Friedrichs approach are presented for homogeneous case. The extension of the method for the inhomogeneous case is described.
