A stabilized FE-FV scheme for the Navier-Stokes-Fourier system

Abstract: We study a mixed finite element-finite volume method for the system describing the motion of a compressible, heat conducting viscous fluid. We show that the scheme is unconditional stable and positivity preserving. (The convergence of the scheme to a suitable weak solution is also possible.)
